Main Menu Theme: "The Memory You'll Forget" by TheTerrain

After a long day of work, you are exhausted and ready to go home. It's finally time to head to the first floor and clock out! Right…? Unfortunately, the rundown office building you work in is known to be haunted. Navigate through a sequence of stages while identifying mysterious anomalies that can range from a co-worker covered in sticky notes to odd posters that are not as motivating and family-friendly. Be warned, however, as failing to make the correct choice ends with you somehow finding yourself at the first stage. Let's see how long it takes for you to make it out of work without a note of failure. You did sign up for this, right...?

Warnings to expect:

  • Sometimes, the player character may phase through different objects. Just ignore it; we don't even know why it does that either. We already tried to fix it, but nothing would stick.
  • DO NOT FULLSCREEN. The UI will position itself in an unintended spot.

Off The Clock is a 2D psychological-horror, puzzle game that draws inspiration from the games developed by KOTAKE CREATE. If you are having difficulties with understanding the game, here's a hint: Take a good look at the very first stage you start the game in and remember every detail.

I really like how much progress this game has made, previously I remember there was still a lot that was missing and I think the team managed to really improve the game. My favorite thing was the lighting, I think it really adds to the atmosphere and it makes it way more suspenseful when your walking. I also thought the menu music was well fitting for the game. Overall, the art has always been the thing to stand to me, I think that all of the art from the menu, to the character, and the game itself to be really well done. If I had to give any recommendations on what to work on, I would say that there should be something to help find the anomalies or make the anomalies more obvious. I had a hard time sometimes realizing what the anomalies are and I think it could help players to make it more clear as to what to look for while playing.
